Error: no header row
Make sure the export has an Email or Phone column and a First Name, Name or Company column.
Too many name-based groups
Raise --threshold to 0.93, or run with --no-fuzzy for exact matches only.
Phones not normalised
Set --country to your country code, or keep the + code in the CRM.
Groups join people sharing a phone
Run with --no-phone.
Claude does not use the skill
Check it is switched on in Settings → Capabilities → Skills, then name it in your message.
The script says a column is missing
Rename your header to one of the names in README, or say the mapping in your message.
Code execution is off
Skills with scripts need code execution enabled in Claude.ai settings.
FAQ
Does it connect to my CRM? No. You export contacts from your CRM and attach the file. Merges are done by you with the CRM's own merge tool.
Which record is kept? By default the most complete one. You can choose newest or oldest by last-modified date.
Will it merge two different people with the same office phone? No. A shared phone only groups records whose names are also similar.
Can I re-import the cleaned file? Yes, cleaned-contacts.csv keeps each record_id so you can update by ID. Back up first.
