Save it as DOCX or a text PDF. Scanned images have no text to read.
PDF needs pdfplumber or pypdf
Run pip install pdfplumber, or save the resumes as DOCX.
Error: protected attribute
Remove that criterion. Screen on skills, experience and qualifications only.
Years look too high
Check the resume has an Experience heading; without one, years are estimated from all dates outside education.
Claude does not use the skill
Check it is switched on in Settings → Capabilities → Skills, then name it in your message.
The script says a column is missing
Rename your header to one of the names in README, or say the mapping in your message.
Code execution is off
Skills with scripts need code execution enabled in Claude.ai settings.
FAQ
Does it use AI to judge candidates? No. The script matches your criteria and reads job dates the same way for every resume. Claude helps you write the criteria and explain the results.
Can it log in to Naukri or my inbox? No. Download the resumes into a folder and attach them.
Why was a good candidate not shortlisted? Check shortlist.csv: it lists the missing must-haves or terms not found. Add aliases for other spellings and run again.
Is the job post check legal advice? No. It flags wording that commonly puts applicants off or screens on personal traits, so you can rewrite it.
