| What you see | What to do |
|---|---|
| No "Calendar Sync" menu | Wait a few seconds and reload. On a phone or tablet it never shows (a Google limit): use a computer. Pasted-script way: check every file was saved. |
| Clicked Cancel or "Back to safety" on the Google screen | Nothing changed. Use the menu again and click Allow. |
| "Google needs your OK first" or "Authorization is required" | A permission box was unticked. Calendar Sync > Start here, Allow, tick every box. |
| "Calendar ... was not found" | Use primary, or copy the Calendar ID from Google Calendar > Settings > the calendar > Integrate calendar into sidebar > Settings. |
| "You can see calendar ... but cannot add events" | Ask the owner for "Make changes to events", or pick another calendar. |
| "The Events tab has no rows yet" | Add a row with Title and Start, or click Try it with sample rows. |
| "This Pro key was refunded / has expired / not found" | Check the key against your receipt. The copy keeps working on Free. |
| "Update available" in the sidebar | Click How to update. Your rows are not touched. |
| "Calendar is not defined" | In Apps Script, click Services +, add Google Calendar API, save. |
| "No tab named Events" | Click Set up sheet, or type your tab's name in sidebar > Settings. |
| Sync note: not a real calendar date | Fix the date (for example 2026-11-31 does not exist). |
| Sync note: does not exist in a time zone | That time is skipped when clocks go forward. Pick another time. |
| Dates land on the wrong day | Check File > Settings > Time zone, and the "Dates like 03/11/2026" setting. |
| Safety stop: N events belong to rows that are gone | Rows were removed. Undo the removal, or tick Allow bulk delete and sync again. |
| Calendar kept saying slow down | Wait a few minutes and sync again. Finished rows are skipped. |
| Stopped to stay inside the time limit | Sync again; it carries on. |
| "This app isn't verified" screen | Normal for scripts in your own copy. Click Advanced, then Go to the project. It runs in your own account. |
FAQ
Does it make duplicates? No. The Event ID column ties each row to one event. Do not type in that column.
Can I sort or filter the sheet? Yes. Event IDs move with their rows.
What if I edit the event in Calendar? The next sync copies the change into the row.
What if I delete an event in Calendar? The row's Status becomes "deleted in Calendar" and it is not made again. Clear Status to bring it back.
Can I undo? Yes, the last sync only: Undo last sync.
Does it use AI? No.
Is my data sent anywhere? No. It moves between your sheet and your calendar inside Google.
