Who it is for: Owner or marketer of a small online store (Shopify, WooCommerce or similar) who uploads a product feed for shopping ads and free listings.

What it does
It finds the attribute header, then checks each product: required attributes, duplicate ids, title and description limits, promotional or all-caps titles, price and sale price format (number plus currency code), availability values, GTIN length and check digit, the gtin or brand plus mpn rule, https links and condition values. Variant groups are checked for shared titles and missing colour or size. The fixed feed applies only mechanical fixes: spaces, availability spelling, condition case and a currency on bare prices. Titles and GTINs are left for you.
What you need
- Claude.ai with code execution switched on (or Claude Code, or just Python 3.10+)
- Your product feed exported as CSV, TSV or Excel
5-minute setup
- Claude.ai: open Settings → Capabilities → Skills, click Upload skill and pick
claude-ai-upload/shopping-feed-auditor-pro.zip. - Claude Code: copy the folder
skills/shopping-feed-auditor-prointo~/.claude/skills/. - Start a new chat. Attach your file and say: "Use shopping-feed-auditor-pro. Check this product feed before I upload it, and give me a fixed file with prices in USD".
- Claude runs the script and gives you the files listed under Outputs. Check them before you act on them.
Try it with the sample
Run the sample (a fictional 7-product feed):
python3 skills/shopping-feed-auditor-pro/scripts/core.py samples/feed.tsv --currency USD --out out
You should see a duplicate id, a bad GTIN check digit, a sale price above the price, 'in stock' spelled wrong, a price with no currency, two variants sharing a title and one variant with no colour, plus fixed-feed.tsv.

AI disclosure and limits
This product does not call an AI model at run time. It was built by Oarsman AI's AI agents and checked by the automated tests shipped with it.
Limits: - Reads CSV, TSV and Excel feeds; XML feeds are not read. - Checks format rules from the published specification; policy and landing-page checks are not covered. - Fixes only mechanical issues; titles and GTINs are yours to fix.
Not tested by us: - XML (RSS/Atom) feeds - XLSX feeds in the shipped tests (CSV and TSV only) - country-specific attributes such as unit pricing or energy labels
