What it does
Each statement row is placed by its type and title: sales, refunds, transaction, processing, listing, offsite ads and regulatory fees, ads, shipping labels, currency conversion and subscriptions. Fee credits net off their fee line. Taxes collected and deposits to your bank are kept out of profit and shown apart. A sale exported twice counts once; repeated fee rows such as two listing renewals are kept. Fees as a share of sales give your fee rate.
What you need
- Claude.ai with code execution switched on (or Claude Code, or just Python 3.10+)
- Your monthly statement CSV (Shop Manager > Finances > Monthly statements)
5-minute setup
- Claude.ai: open Settings → Capabilities → Skills, click Upload skill and pick
claude-ai-upload/shop-statement-pnl.zip. - Claude Code: copy the folder
skills/shop-statement-pnlinto~/.claude/skills/. - Start a new chat. Attach your file and say: "Use shop-statement-pnl. What did my shop really make in October, and which fees cost the most?".
- Claude runs the script and gives you the files listed under Outputs. Check them before you act on them.
Try it with the sample
Run the sample (a fictional October 2026 statement):

You should see sales $144.00, refunds -$30.00, fees and costs -$49.55 (a 34.4% fee rate), profit before cost of goods $64.45 and $60.00 deposited to the bank.
