New: step-by-step setup page for the n8n version (setup-page/index.html). Plain HTML; open it from the download or the product page. The in-browser "Use it here" version and the Claude skill are unchanged.
Five steps with copy buttons: the Google Sheet, settings, Fill my workflow (fills Set extractor settings, the upload form's webhook address and the failure-alert email in your browser), logins and publish, and Test it.
The upload key is generated in your browser, sent only as the X-Upload-Key header to your n8n, and never written into the workflow file.
Test it first runs a free check (no file, no OpenAI credit) of the address, key and publish, then, if you pick a file from samples/, one real read. Every failure (wrong key, wrong address, http, not published, n8n or OpenAI error, CORS, slow or asleep server, wrong file type) gets a plain fix.
Setup doctor ("Something stopped working?"): paste your address and key to rerun the free live check.
Progress ticks and bar; save progress to a file (the key is left out unless you tick the box) and resume later.
Import by file, by paste into the n8n canvas, or n8n's Import from URL for the unfilled file. The Claude skill install (Upload a skill) is linked from step 0.
Success screen with next steps and your upload form address; "Still stuck? Get help" links to the support page; keyboard and screen-reader friendly; works at phone size. No analytics, no storage, no calls to Oarsman AI.
Docs: TROUBLESHOOTING.md starts with the top 5 n8n setup problems; VIDEO-SCRIPT.md adds a 90-second setup-page walkthrough and a 12-second GIF script; README and n8n/SETUP.md point to the setup page.
Tests: 7 shared setup-page unit tests and 3 browser tests (Chrome desktop and iPhone size) against an n8n-like stand-in for your server, covering the happy path by keyboard, 9 failure cases, a slow server, resume, setup doctor and opening the page from the download (file://). Skill tests unchanged.
No workflow, skill or script changes: nothing to re-import.
1.0.2 (2026-11-01)
Metadata only (2026-11-01, no version change): access_mode is now "Use it here" (in-browser runner, /assets/runner/, Playwright desktop + mobile + no-egress tests pass) and ttfv_minutes 1 (measured: sample result in 1.9 s once loaded locally, 13 s cold on a 10 Mbps link). Product files unchanged.
Metadata only (2026-11-01, no version change): listing.json gains access_mode "Download + 3-step setup" and ttfv_minutes 5 for the product bar. Files unchanged.
README: the setup heading is now 'Setup: Claude skill' (it read like a list of install services). No code changes.
1.0.1 (2026-11-01)
Password-protected PDFs are now reported as password-pdf with instructions, instead of "unknown, read visually".
prefill.py no longer takes a label line such as "From:" as the supplier name (found on a real public sample invoice).
n8n: the webhook now requires a Header Auth key (X-Upload-Key); the upload form sends the same key. Before, anyone with the URL could post files and spend your OpenAI credit. Tested: no key -> 403, no AI call.
n8n: overview note colour and note layout fixed for the n8n template guidelines.
New tests/robustness_tests.py (2 checks). README: real-world test results and limits; support is now self-serve (docs + FAQ + versioned updates).
1.0.0 (2026-11-01)
First release: Claude skill (doctext, prefill, validate) and n8n workflow (form, webhook, optional Gmail; OpenAI reading; Google Sheets; review and failure emails).
